🎄 Our History

The Blue Santa tradition in Baytown dates back to the 1970s and officially became a recognized nonprofit organization in 2010.

What began as a small effort by a few officers and volunteers has grown into a city-wide community program that brings smiles to hundreds of families each year. The program’s ongoing success is made possible through generous donations from individuals, businesses, civic organizations, and now through our partnership and sponsorship with the Baytown Municipal Police Association.

Together, we’re keeping the spirit of giving alive and ensuring Baytown families continue to experience the warmth of Christmas.

🎁 How It Works

Each year, applications open for families in need of holiday assistance.

After the application review process, qualifying families are selected to receive support based on available donations and contributions. The number of families helped each year depends entirely on the community’s generosity.

On Delivery Day, gifts are distributed by Baytown Police Department employees, BMPA members, and dedicated community volunteers. Some families may also be invited to pick up their gifts directly from Blue Santa’s workshop.

Every toy, dollar, and hour of volunteer time makes a difference. You can help by:

• Donating online or at designated drop-off locations

• Hosting a toy or fundraising drive

• Volunteering to wrap gifts

• Sharing our mission with friends, family, and coworkers
